With more pronounced trichomes than the Peruvian form, this form of T. tectorum is often ‘marketed’ as T. tectorum ‘Snow’ or similar.

As with other forms of T. tectorum, plenty of light, good air movement and not too much water are the keys to success.

Although a beautiful air plant, Tillandsia Tectorum can sometimes be a challenge for novice growers who tend to kill them with kindness. This air plant really does like to be kept dry with plenty of time to dry out before waterings. A light spray every couple of weeks is normally plenty. Tectorum is a very slow grower that has adapted to live in very dry conditions with very little nutrients therefore we recommend not feeding this variety.
