A nice easy to grow succulent, x Alworthia ‘Black Gem’ is an intrageneric hybrid between Aloe speciosa and Haworthia cymbiformis. It produces tight offsets, resulting in large, low clumps. The foliage varies from green to bronze with its thick triangular succulent leaves becoming darker and more reddish bronze the more sunlight the plant is given.

x Alworthia ‘Black Gem’ is often listed under the incorrect name of Aloe ‘Black Gem’.

Can quickly form mature 6″ high clumps of upto 18″ in diameter.

Protect from frost.

Supplied in a 5.5cm pot.
