Tillandsia paleacea
£10.00
Tillandsia paleacea is perhaps one of the most forgiving air plants when neglected. One of the more tomentose (fuzzy white leaved) air plants, Tillandsia paleacea prefers a bright position. This air plant has a tremendous capacity to absorb water from the air, so it requires much less watering than many other air plants, care should be taken to not over water as it has a tendency to rot if watered too often/ too heavily. A highly variable species with many forms, particularly prevalent in Bolivia, Columbia and Peru, paleacea produces violet blooms, which on an established clump can be borne in succession over many weeks.
