Tillandsia paleacea (Long form)
Peruvian form of Tillandsia Paleacea.
This ‘long form’ of Tillandsia Paleacea native to Peru is larger and more caulescent (stem forming) than the standard plant and is less ‘fuzzy’ leaved.
This airplant has a tremendous capacity to absorb water from the air, so it requires much less watering than many other air plants, care should be taken to not over water as it has a tendency to rot if watered too often/ too heavily. Paleacea produces violet blooms, which on an established clump can be borne in succession over many weeks.
Sometimes we also have small multi headed clumps of this species available.
