Tillandsia jonesii
An easy to grow species from the aeranthos group. Tillandsia jonesii has a purplish tint to the leaves which becomes more exaggerated when grown in good light. rarely reaches more than 4″ in size.
Native to Brazil and first described in only 2008. This relatively newly discovered air plant is very easy to grow.

Usual healthy specimen from Crafty Plants. Budding when received and bloomed with a couple of intense blue/purple flowers which seemed a little larger than you would expect from the size of the plant (as above). Really like the foliage as well, with its darker tints and purple tints. Good addition to my collection.
