Commonly known as Bartrams airplant, Tillandsia bartramii is named after William Bartram, a Florida naturalist.
Native to Mexico and Guatemala as well as southern states on the USA; South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Formerly known as Tillandsia myriophylla, setacea and pinifolia. This airplant forms dense clusters of pointed leaves 15 – 40cm long. Established clumps of Tillandsia bartramii produces flower stems of around 15cm in length holding up to 20 flowers each from red bracts.
