Tillandsia araujei Open Form

Tillandsia araujei is native to the Brazilian coast (it’s name derived from the Brazilian river Rio Araújo.) There are several forms of Tillandsia araujei, all sharing the characteristic long and rigid leaves.

Tillandsia araujei Closed Form has long, thin and flexible leaves whereas Tillandsia araujei Open Form has smaller leaves, thicker and stiffer leaves.

Produces rose coloured flower bracts with white flowers.

Grows best hung up and allowed to drape, eventually producing a gracefull, waterfall like clump.
