Tillandsia tectorum x paleacea
An interesting hybrid of Tillandsia tectorum and Tillandsia paleacea that produces purple flowers from a very dark purple inflorescence. Tillandsia tectorum x paleacea is quite a quick growing air plant which offsets freely and can produce decent sized clumps in only a few years. Like it’s parents, this plant prefers a fairly well lit position, light watering and good air movement.
