Tillandsia tectorum (Caulescent Form)

A caulescent (stem growing) from of Tillandsia Tectorum.

Although a beautiful airplant, any form of Tillandsia Tectorum can prove to be a challenge for novice growers who tend to kill them with kindness.  This airplant really does like to be kept dry with plenty of time to dry out before waterings.  A light spray every couple of weeks is normally plenty.  Tectorum is a very slow grower that has adaped to live in very dry conditions with very little nutrients.  Therefore we recommend not feeding this variety.
