Tillandsia ionantha vanhyningii
£20.00
Discovered in 1957 in Mexico, Tillandsia Ionantha Van Hyningii was named in honour of O. Van Hyning. Unlike most airplants, this rare caulescent form of Tillandsia, Van Hyningii produces thick succulent-like leaves along stems up to 20cm. The upper leaves blush pink around flowering season. Although not a regularly flowering airplant, Tillandsia Ionantha Van Hyningii is a prolific propagator, producing outstanding matt-like clumps with new plants being produced along its stems.
