Native to Bolivia, D. lorentziana is larger growing than the more widely cultivated Deuterocohnia brevifolia.

A extremely sharply spined bromeliad

Easy to grow given good light, airflow and free drainage. Will tolerate light frost if kept dry although best treated as a houseplant / greenhouse plant at least over the winter months in the UK.

Supplied in 9cm pots.
